Exposing myself

Dear B-greek'ers,

Following up on two topics that have been posted lately...

1) The new technology issue

I am a student of theology, and for me, using the different opportunities
on the internet, i.e. greek lexicons and the like, seems not only to ease
the learning of greek... it also encourage me to be so much more thorough
reading the GNT. I have even found that using the internet has made it
easier to use my *old-fashioned* dictionaries and grammars... simply
because it takes a lot of hard work to get familiar with
*how-to-look-up-a-greek-verb*... I mean, any unexperienced learner has
experienced to use oceans of time just to find out the root of one single
verb simply because of the lack of experience... this experience is simply
easier to get using the internet.
The bottom line: If it had not been for the internet (and this list!), I
would not have have used my dictionaries as much as I do!

2) Being a lurk

Until now, I have been reading the posts with great interest and learned a
lot... I must say that some of the debates here goes over my head. But
that does not mean that I am deterred from *exposing myself*... On the
contrary I find that it is a great privilege to have this posibility! But
for the time being... I will carry on lurking :-)

Sincerely,

Peter Dahl
