I
am looking for suggestions for the following:

1. Word studies that will expose them to how BDAG works.>

I learned something about BDAG when someone (I forget who)
asked a question about hISTHMI in Matt. 4:5. The question was
whether "Jesus stood" or "Satan set him" on the pinnacle of the
temple. I went through a long contextual analysis to show what
could have easily been answered by BDAG. BDAG divides this
entry into two categories (A & B) for transitive and intransitive uses.
By looking at letter A we see that the 1st aor. act. is transitive.
Since hISTHMI is 1 aor. act. in Mt. 4:5 we know that the correct
understanding is "Satan set him . . ."

Just a quick thought,
