Tabula Iliaca [apologies: off topic]

Hi B-Greekers,

Apologies, as this is off topic.

Tabular Iliaca contains the following inscription on the top left:

IERONAPOLLWNOS[I]MINQEWS
XRUSHS

What is the significance/meaning of what appears to be an uncial iota
(although it's all in uncials anyway) but with a top and bottom stroke,
much like the English capital letter "I"? This doesn't appear with these
strokes (as far as I can see) in the rest of the document.

Liddell/Scott describe SMINQEWS as an "epithet of Apollo II.I.39. But
there is no explanation that I can find of this extra "I".

Thank you,

James Forsyth
