Unless we follow the lead of some commentators (I don't happen to be one of 
them) and see it as meaning in Eph 3:13 "which is [shows/demonstrates 
God's] opinion of you'all."

Also, I would suggest that the manifestations of brilliance, shining, light 
which have somehow become connected with DOXA come from the matrix of ideas 
related to kings and rulers, ie., these are people who are held in high 
opinion, esteem, honor....when they appear it is with a display of the 
power and might, with displays of overwhelming beauty and majesty, which 
has a great impact on the assembled multitude, thus reinforcing their 
opinion of these people...hence DOXA moves from "opinion" to 
"majestic".  Its not an ontological matter, its a perception issue.
