Thank you, Carlton; I always value greatly your opinion.

But if 'only' is read into the hOTI clause of v. 14, may I ask 
also how I should I understand the opening ALLA of v. 15? 
It usualy seems to be taken to be ascensive: 'Indeed'; 
but isn't ALLA always adversative, even when it is ascensive
('Not only this, but'; 'But rather')?
