Greetings Harry and List,
Th idea of summarizing the differences, in brief, is beyond my
imagination! Perhaps someone else on the list can, and I suppose someone
will come up with a great web site for us to go to. But... I do have a copy
of JSNTS 80 (The Journal for the Study of New Testament) titled "Biblical
Greek Language and Linguistics: Open Questions in Current Research", in
which Porter and Fanning summarize their positions, and other scholars
critique their views. I am sure you could get a copy from Sheffield
Academic Press. Reading Porter, though expensive, and for a little Greeker
challenging, is well worth the stretch.
Does anybody know where to get a copy of Fanning's book?
Thanks.
