Amazon.com lists Fanning's book ("used and new"--whatever that means) from
$177; they also list Porter's book but it is OP.
One resource for a little overall perspective is Rod Decker's digest of his
dissertation (on Porter). Chapter 1 is a review of Verbal Aspect Theory and
a brief account of contemporary discussion:
http://faculty.bbc.edu/rdecker/rd_diss.htm#CHAPTER%201
On Rod's page of "Resources for NT Studies" (particularly Greek) there's a
dead link to a pdf file of a paper presented in March of 2001 entitled,
"Verbal Aspect in Recent Debate." I don't know how closely Rod may be
watching list traffic right now (he's probably giving exams and/or grading
papers at this season), but he may want to chime in on this one if he's in
the loop.
