Subject: [b-greek] Simple Question
From: "Ed Garcia" <Ed.Garcia at FHLBTopeka.com>
To: Biblical Greek <b-greek at franklin.oit.unc.edu>
I belong to a Koine reading group, we meet once a week, but in addition to
reading Koine we are also trying to expand our knowledge of Ancient Greek
in general. One way we do this is by expanding our vocabulary of everyday
words. Hence my question--and I know that there are ways to find these
things out--my question is -- what are the ancient Greek words for snow,
winter and ice? Any other related winter words would be welcome.
In case you are wondering, we are reading through the nativity story in
Matthew, in honor of the season.
Thank you.
