You can use the online LSJ Lexicon at the Perseus site to see how Greek words used by
biblical writers were used by "secular" authors.
But to gain access to all -- or all most all -- of the instances of a given Greek
word's usage in extant Greek literature (but not in the epigraphical data), you'll
need to consult the TLG (Thesaurus Linguae Grecae. To find out more about this, go to
