Actually, the renamed thread began with me asking about what I understood
to be a forthcoming revision of Funk's Beginning-Intermediate Grammar.  I
also found it to be incredibly innovative, and I was very impressed with
it.  And that, even though--as Carl has noted--it desperately needs to be
revised.  I never taught with it, though.
