Bonnie,

A reprint of the Thayer lexicon remains available from the press that I work
for. You can find it by searching your favorite online bookseller for the
ISBN: 1565632095. I see it's available for $15 from CBD
(http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product/?item_no=32095&event=S
RC&item_code=). I believe you might find discussion of the ways in which
this and other older lexicons are (or are not) still useful in the BGREEK
archives.

Obviously the best choice, if you can afford to buy it, is BDAG: A
Greek-English lexicon of the New Testament and other early Christian
literature / revised and edited by Frederick William Danker. 3rd ed. Chicago
: University of Chicago Press, 2000. ISBN : 0226039331.
