value of accents?

Eric,
Be encouraged by the fact that J.W. Wenham's ELEMENTS
OF NT GREEK, ignores accents altogether (except where
they make a difference in meaning). His book has been
a standard learning tool in the British orbit for a
long time. The idea that we can get by without
knowing too much about accents must have something
going for it.
