Concerning Revelation 3:17: hOTI LEGEIS hOTI PLOUSIOS EIMI KAI
PEPLOUQHKA KAI OUDEN CREIAN ECW KAI OUK OIDAS hOTI SU EI hO
TALAIPWROS KAI ELEEINOS KAI PTWCOS KAI TUFLOS KAI GUMNOS
Is this a simple statement of the way the Laodiceans are or is it a
question that the writer assumes has an affirmative answer: Don't you
know you're wretched? Of course you do.
My question centers around the use of OUK before OIDAS and its affect on
the rest of the passage. This appears as a straight statement of fact
in all of the translations I have read.
Please be kind to the teknion (Gal. 4:19).
