I published a review of the revised Summers in Religious Studies Review several years ago. The pertinent facts are:
*It uses an eight-case system, which your professor at Bob Jones may or may not use.
*It is very well laid out and inexpensive, and works well as a reference grammar (meaning, it's worth consulting when material from your primary grammar doesn't make sense, and you have a greater than zero chance of finding the explanation that you need in terms most first year students can understand.)
*It does contain some material on syntax, etc., the kinds of things that are normally covered in second year but can be helpful in first.
*There are mistakes in the workbook and mistakes in some of the verb charts, etc. I can provide more info if you need it.
All in all, I thought Tom Sawyer's ("mean, mean pride") revision was successful, and at the price, well worth having.
