Black's and Dobson's introductions are ... the same?

The section "From Author to Reader" (pp. xi-xii) of LEARN TO READ NEW
TESTAMENT GREEK - Expanded Edition (1994) by David Alan Black, Broadman
& Holman, and the section "Introduction" of LEARN NEW TESTAMENT GREEK -
Second Edition (1993) by John H. Dobson, Baker, are ... almost
word-for-word or phrase-for-phrase identical in MANY places, even to
the point where they both say "after SEVENTEEN [short] lessons you will
begin/start reading selected passages from the [Greek] New Testament,
and by the end of the course you will be able to read much of the New
Testament without constant reference to a dictionary."
So ... what's up here? Neither book credits the other author, as far as
I can see. I don't have the first edition of either book to see how
these sections read in those editions. I also don't have Black's or
Dobson's e-mail address to ask them about this.
Can anyone on this list explain this - i.e., did one of these authors
ghost-write parts of the other's book?
If this is too off-topic (i.e., it doesn't deal with Greek grammar, but
it does deal with Greek grammars, specifically 2 of them), then reply to
me off-list.
Thanks.
