Too true, Wayne.
There is a most interesting column in today's "Times" ( of London ) by
Philip Howard on the subject of the rapidly disappearing distinction
between " fewer" and "less". At 70, I am still irritated when I hear
examples of this, but Howard makes a good case for the evolving nature of
language.
