I have just uploaded to my alternative web-site and made available for
download:

"New Observations on Ancient Greek Voice": PDF version (707k) of my Nov.
19, 2002 expansive revision of my original B-Greek message of May 27, 1997,
"Observations on Ancient Greek Voice."

This is a 21-page documented formulation of my argument that the -QH-
aorist and passive morphoparadigms ought to be taught and understood not as
essentially passive but as essentially alternative forms of the
"middle-passive" that increasingly (in Hellenistic times) supplanted older
"middle-passive" aorist forms in -SAMHN and "middle-passive" future forms
in -SOMAI. Much of the thinking emerged in the course of B-Greek list
discussion late in the Fall of 2001; what I have now added is documentation
as well as an appendix reviewing evidence for some of the verbs that have
both -MHN/SO/TO and -QHN/QHS/QH forms in the aorist.
