Attachments in messages sent to B-Greek

Please do NOT send attachments in messages sent to B-Greek. Within the
past
week there have been two messages sent to B-Greek with attachments; these
involve at least two problems for list-correspondence: (1) like MIME/HTML
formatting, the will not go into the archives, which will only accept
plain-text ASCII; (2) they are readily susceptible to viruses. In the most
recent instance it was a PDF file that was attached to a message sent to
the list: may I suggest that, when members wish to share a PDF file or an
image with the list, they post such a file or image to a web-site and
notify the list about it and indicate a URL where the file or image may be
accessed? Thanks for your cooperation.
