Mark Goodacre cc'd to me a reply to Jonathan's note that I think may be of
interest to the list regarding the current spate of KLEZ-infected messages
which, as we've assured you are NOT originating from the list:
"The same thing has been happening on both Synoptic-L and Xtalk --
messages supposedly from Richard Anderson have been appearing in
individuals' mail boxes purportedly from the lists (though the
messages haven't made it to everyone, and they haven't appeared in
the archives). Richard himself hadn't sent messages to either list
for an age and it seems that again it is a case of his address having
been spoofed. Just thought it might be worth letting you know."
I don't want to continue a thread on this subject now that sufficient
warning should have gone to everyone. I have already rejected moderated
messages repeating the information and advice already offerred
authoritatively to list-members regarding these messages.
