I hereby submit the ninth of the questions concerned with distinctive
readings of Codex Bezae in the text of Luke's gospel.

Lk 1:50 NA27/USB4: KAI TO ELEOS AUTOU EIS GENEAS KAI GENEAS TOIS
FOBOUMENOIS AUTON ; D05: ... EIS GENEAN GENEWN

The singular. GENEA GENEWN appears only once in the LXX: Ps 101:25: MH
ANAGAGHS ME EN hHMISEI hHMERWN MOU; EN GENEAi GENEWN TA ETH SOU. In the MT
Ps 72:5 and Isaiah 51:8 have the singular DOR DORIM.

Might EIS GENEAN GENEWN refer to a single person rather than to all the
people of a generation?
