I'm up to page 712 of Marshall on Luke; I'm seeing light at the end of
the tunnel! I've made a vow to finish every book I buy before I buy a new
one, which I'm thinking now will be the NIGTC on Ephesians, because I'm
interested in the whole ANHR and GUNH thing (any other recommendations?)

Which leads back to Knight and the Pastorals: what makes him -- and other
commentators both conservative and liberal (cf. The Interpreter's Bible)
-- so sure that ANHR and GUNH are "man" and "woman" in 1 Tim. 2 when they
are certainly "husband" and "wife" in 1 Tim. 3, a few sentences later?

As for Adam and Eve, while they were "man" and "woman", they were at the
same time "husband" and "wife", so ANHR and GUNH could go either way with
respect to them.
