[B-Greek] idiom

Dear Hanna,

BAGD says that it is based on a Hebrew idiom, siym panexa 'el, and that it
denotes firm purpose. As examples of the idiom it lists Ezk 6:2; 13:17;
14:8; 15:7. It may also be an allusion to Is 50:7: "Therefore have I set my
face like flint".

In Christ,
