[B-Greek] Col. 2:16-17 ...TO DE SWMA TOU CRISTOU

Dear B-Greeks,

In my (hardly experienced) opinion, I would see TO DE SWMA TOU CRISTOU
in Col. 2:17 as a contrast to the afore-mentioned SKIA of SKIA TWN
MELLONTWN, with SWMA contrasting SKIA and TOU CRISTOU a gen. of
apposition. Frankly, my opinion is partly based on the close proximity.

Col. 2:16-17 text:

[16] ME OUN TIS hUMAS KRINETW EN BRWSEI KAI EN POSEI H EN MEREI hEORTHS
H NEOMHNIAS H SABBATWN. [17] hA ESTIN SKIA TWN MELLONTWN, TO DE SWMA TOU
CRISTOU

However, it appears (to me) that grammatically the "antecedent" for TO
DE SWMA TOU CRISTOU in Col. 2:17 *could* be KRINETW of verse 16, with TO
SWMA TOU CRISTOU indicating "the church":

ME OUN TIS hUMAS KRINETW ... TO DE SWMA TOU CRISTOU

"Let not anyone judge you in these... but let the body of Christ judge."

While (off topic to B-Greek) my "definition" of SWMA TOU CRISTOU does
not permit this as a sensible reading, I wonder whether the
*grammatical* issues involved would allow, or even endorse, such a
reading. Thanks.

FWIW, I tried to search the Archives "since 28 June, 1998", but always
received a "No matches were found" message, even for such searches as
"TWN" or "John"...
