Hi B-Greek,

Well, ok this question might be slightly off here..eg. Latin, not Greek:-)
Hopefully within bounds...

Perhaps you can help, or lead me to the right sources. (e.g. a Jerome scholar )

Jerome's " Prologue to the Canonical Epistles" is in the Gutenberg Bible at
the British Library http://prodigi.bl.uk/gutenbg/search.asp

There is some controversy as to the epistle (one sticking point seems to
be the "Comma comment") and it would be helpful if I could find

a) the manuscript history of the prologue
b) any discussions of its authenticity

The link so far that has the most information are ....

 http://www.1john57.com/threeletters3.htm
LETTER #3 of THREE LETTERS ......1 JOHN v. 7. By BEN DAVID

Which was a follow-up in my search after finding
 http://www.geocities.com/riversoflife21c/comma.html
I John 5:7:

An Examination

Any help sincerely appreciated.

Shalom,
