[B-Greek] simple dative

The LXX of 1 Sm.18:7 reads...
EPATAXEN SAOUL EN CILIASIN AUTOU
KAI DAVID EN MURIASIN AUTOU (cf. 21:12; 29:5)

The EN's with the dative in these passages appear to me to
fit into what BDAG, Zerwick, et al. describe as the simple dative
(e.g., Zerwick, Biblical Greek, 120). [Sources commonly use
1 Co.14:11 and Ro.1:19, etc. to illustrate this use of EN.]

Question: Do you think EN in 1 Sm.18:7 could be the "simple
dative"?

Thanks a lot.
