In the Greek text of the Creed of Chalcedon, Shedd gives the following word
as the next to the last word of the creed: KARADEDWKE (*Creeds of
Christendom,* 2:63). I've search BDAG, L&S, and Lampe to no avail for such a
form. It's typically translated as "handed down." Obviously a perfect form
of a DIDWMI compound (or so I assume). Is this, perhaps, some variant
orthography for KATADEDWKE(N)? Or a misprint in Shedd? Or something else? Or
am I overlooking something obvious?
