Right. Various intros are available at various levels. Another option,
briefer and more elementary than Greenlee:
David Alan Black. New Testament Textual Criticism: A Concise Guide.
Grand Rapids: Baker Books, 1994. ISBN 0-8010-1074-8. 79pp.
This book aims at a wide readership and presupposes no academic training
in biblical studies. The author's preface refers the reader to Metzger
for more detail.
