Agreed. That doesn't make it any more useful than the grammar itself,
particularly that both are meant to be used in teaching situations. (I suppose
in some less fortunate parts of the world, the idea of sharing a book among
the members of a whole class might seem reasonable enough, but I don't think
it would go over too well in an American classroom!)

Well, in the second cited link you seemed aware of what was in fact being
discussed--that Perry had spoken directly to Schmidt about revising BIG. A lot
could have happened since then, I suppose, but apparently no one has presented
information to the contrary.

I couldn't find an e-address for him, but I'm trying the main Westar address
