Please forgive the delay in answering you. Of course this news do not
"confirm" or proves anything of the sort, but it certainly gives
strength to the view that Jesus did in fact knew Greek well, and that
he could have been fluent in it, a supposition sustained in other
independent data well discussed elsewhere in the literature (the
main reason aduced to dismiss that view in the recent past being that
Nazareth was supposed to be a "a poor Jewish village on the periphery
of the empire, where local families inhabited caves on the
hillside"). As for the possibility that Jesus spoke Latin, I don't
mean that such thing is unimaginable, but can't find right now a good
reason to think that.
