Hi everyone,

I'm a homeschool mom of a 15 year old trying to pick a curriculum for Janaury
that we will STICK to and finish.

We have been toying around with MANY different languages, both ancient and
modern, for years, but we need to start preparing for college and earn some
credits.

It seems to me there are 2 really good curriculums for self study of Koine,
with many supplements.

Mounce using a classical pronunciation has a CD, flash card software,
cartoons, quizzes.

Machen using a modern pronunciation has videos, software, printed flash
cards. THe Machen videos also teach sentence diagramming which looks REALLY good to
me with my latin backround.

It looks to me like they are so different it's hard to ask "which is better?"

Can anyone comment on the curriculums for me? I'm not talking about the
newbie question "Is Mounce a good book?"

I'm looking for down the road insight, where 2 years from know, I might be
kicking myself for my choice.

This modern pronunciation makes me a bit nervous.

Kat
