I don't know the specific curriculum you're talking about, but in my
experience Mounce works well for a guided self-study. I've only used it
with adults, though. You might consider the Greek material from
http://biblicalulpan.org/. I think it should work well with any age
group--much of the early material doesn't even use writing but only
sound and pictures. It's a good way to get a feel for the language,
though.
