The Hebrew characters did show up in the message as posted at the web-site;
it did not show up, so far as I know, as posted to list-members of B-Greek
in plain-text. You may note from the original header that the message was
wrongly sent to B-Greek in the first place (we don't encourage double
postings, and this one was simply sent to both lists although it concerned
only B-Hebrew). B-Hebrew allows and sends HTML/MIME messages and has its
own preferred Hebrew font. Jonathan doesn't even want to try that on
B-Greek until we have something like XML fonts readily accessible to all
list-members.
