Hi b-greek,
Thank you for the help with "to the age" "never" :-)
Would any of you like to comment on the Greek of Hebrews 8:13,
and translating to English.
Hebrews 8:13
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old.
Now that which *decayeth and waxeth old* is ready to vanish away.
It has been claimed that the Greek actually says
"waxes old and ripens"
although I have no idea where 'ripens' is supposed to come from,
that seems to not be the usage in any translations.
And Is there a sense of "obsolete" and/or "decay" in the Greek. ?
KJB - "decayeth and waxeth old"
Green - "made old and growing aged"
Youngs - "become obsolete and is old"
Rotherdam - "becoming obsolete and aged"
Shalom,

NOTES:
=======
Old is "Gerasko" (lexicon transliteration) .. Strongs 1095,
=====
become old - "Palaioo".. Strongs 3822
Lu 12:33
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Heb 1:11
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
