[B-Greek] TDNT, TDNT abridged, or NIDNTT?

My personal annotated comments on this book, based on seeing it:

The NIV Theological Dictionary of New Testament Words (NIVTDNTW) by
Verlyn D. Verbrugge. ISBN 0310216508. This an update, abridgement (in
one volume), and expansion (by the inclusion and discussion of
additional words) of NIDNTT. While the additional entries and updated
and corrected information are no doubt valuable, the failure to include
an index that references all the words treated and the pages on which
they are discussed (many words do not have their own entries, but are
discussed under entries for related words) severely handicaps this work,
in my opinion. In contrast, NIDNTT has several complete and exhaustive
indexes.

One thing Verbrugge did, I recall, was harmonize the comments somewhat.
As the articles in NIDNTT were written by many theologians from
different perspectives, sometimes the articles conflicted with each
other, so Verbrugge worked to clean/clear this up. It's all explained in
the intro or forward to the book.

I also recall that, besides lacking the indexes, Verbrugge's abridgement
omits Murray Harris's excellent and oft-cited appendix on Prepositions
in volume III of NIDNTT.

Given these caveats and shortcomings, for a cheap price it's a handy
alternative to NIDNTT -- if you can find all the words you want!!!
