In -AW verbs we get no i subscript in inf. pres. act. because there is no i
in the inf. ending which is -en. The i that is found in infinitives like
lu/ein, is not a true i, but the way to represent a long and close e, that
comes from the contraction of e+e represented with the letters EI. Sorry for
my poor english.
