Hello list,

I turned up your web-page trying to look for advice on biblical Greek
books. My friend and I started a website where we are offering free
Greek and Latin books in PDF format for anyone interested in learning
the languages. We want to expand our offerings by including Biblical
Greek materials, but I have no idea about which the best books are that
we should scan and upload to our site. So far we have scanned these three:

A Brief Introduction To New Testament Greek with Key, Green
A Syntax of NT Greek, Nunn
Selections From The Septuagint, Conybeare & Stock (Ginn College Series
of Greek Authors)

They have not been uploaded yet because of a problem with the FTP
server, but they will be up on the site shortly. I wanted to ask the
list which books would be the ones of greatest use and interest to
biblical Greek scholars and students.

We have been scanning and placing on the site books in three basic
categories: (1) Grammars (ex. Goodwin's Moods and Tenses), (2) Readers:
Greek/Latin Texts with commentary (ex. Odyssey Bk. XII, Minkwitz), and
(3) Classics in translation (ex. Plato's Republic, Jowett).

As for the biblical Greek I'd like to know which books on Grammar and
Syntax we should hunt down (they must be year 1922 or earlier public
domain books), and which are the most important authors on a Biblical
Greek reading list, and if there are any public domain editions that you
can recommend.

We also have a Newsletter which formerly announced to subscribers the
new titles that we would scan and post, but that we are now developing
into an e-journal geared to beginning and intermediate students of Greek
and Latin, and the theme for the one scheduled for mailing in the first
week of June is going to be Biblical Greek. We accept submissions from
anyone of our subscribers with a genuine interest in the Greek and Latin
languages, but we have no scholarly pretensions, just a desire to
further discussion of interesting ideas in our forum, and to enjoy life
doing so, while learning Greek and Latin. :-)

The official title and URL of our website is

Textkit - Greek and Latin Learning Tools

		http://www.textkit.com/

I would really love to hear your comments and suggestions.
Hope to hear from you soon,

Sebastian
