Gene:
I have found Bullinger to be especially helpful in translating/exegeting
through an number of passages. It has been valuable tool both in Greek and
in Hebrew. Bullinger came to me highly recommended by my Exegesis Prof. He
said to not check with Bullinger, is to "exegete at your own peril!"

I have come across some folks who consider E.W. Bullinger to be the
foremost authority on Biblical languages. Having looked at some of his
material, it appears to me that his conclusions are in many cases very
speculative. I would be be grateful to have the opinions of the list
members' who have more carefully examined his work. I particularly covet
the opinions of those of you who teach Greek in colleges and seminaries. I
have looked for his works in bibliographies in my reference books (I am
admittedly reference-challenged) but have found nothing. Is he widely
considered to be a reliable source today?
Thanks.
