[B-Greek] Another Latin LXX quote

The verb "latere" is the infinitive from which "latet" is conjugated, I
assume, what with the little I can still remember from my Latin.
But what does "latere" mean lexically--"conceal" or "reveal"? In the context
of "Novum in vetere latet", where(or what) is the exact source?
