[B-Greek] KAQO in 1 Pet. 4:13

1 Pet. 4:13 reads; ALLA KAQO KOINWNEITE TOIS TOU CPISTOU PAQHMASIN CAIRETE, hINA KAI EV THi APOKALUYEI THS DOXHS AUTOU CARHTE AGALLIWMENOI.
According to Little Gingrich and Danker KAQO means; 'insofar as, to the degree that'.
Does the use of KAQO in this verse mean that there is a relation between the amount of suffering that is shared for the sake of Christ ,and the amount of joy that is experienced when Christ's glory is revealed (Something like; "you will have joy to the degree that you suffered"), or am I reading to much into this word.
