[B-Greek] NA27 and Greek-English Dictionary

It is the "pedestrian nature of this little dictionary in the back that I
like. Not only is it more portable to Starbucks (or Tim Hortons for us
Canadians) it also can help you read larger blocks of text faster. I found
in my early stages that it let me sit down and read a chapter at a time by
tweeking my memory. I never use it for word studies - just as a crutch and
a training wheelt. For that it is great.

Yes, the lexicon/"gloss-ary" is inadequate, but for just a few bucks more
than the no-dictionary version, it still seems like a good choice for Greek
students, because if you just want to go down to the coffee shop and read,
you only have to lug this one little book, and you can do deeper word
studies in your BDAG at home. You could also carry Zerwick-Grosvenor (small,
too).

And the Greek NT insert, for a small, thin concise grammar.

And the TEXTUAL COMMENTARY. :)

And the HANDKONCORDANZ. :) :)

Too bad (since they're the same basic size) they don't bind the Barclay
Newman glossary/lexicon, the handkoncordanz, and the textual commentary
together in the backs of either N-A 27 or UBS 4.

Maybe someone could update the Newman dictionary with a bit more
information. By merely doubling its small size, it could probably be made
more adequate in more people's minds. Make the font the size of the
Handkoncordanz and one could easily fit a LOT more lexical information into
the same page space. Surely after 30(?) years it's time for an
update/expansion.

Is Abbott-Smith still reliable and current enough? It's getting a bit long
in the tooth, isn't it?
