[B-Greek] Forum Rules?

I am relatively new to the message board and have chosen, until now, to
remain silent and just observe the topic discussions to see if the board
would have any relevancy to me. In the past few weeks, I have seen some
very interesting discussions which have been very enlightening.

However, I have also seen some responding posts that I felt were absolutely
uncalled for by professional academicians and "alleged" Greek scholars that
were laced with self-aggrandizing statements toward themselves and demeaning
statements against Greek neophytes and, in no uncertain terms, made them
feel very unwelcome on the board.

Furthermore, there have been some theological discussions that have emerged
from the discussions of Greek etymology and Koine usage that I feel are more
than appropriate in this type of academic setting. However, there appear to
be some board participants who feel it necessary to enforce the "rules" and
avoid connotation or denotation of a word if the context of the passage so
defines.

Therefore, I have chosen to remove my e-mail address from the board. I
know, you won't miss me. I came, I saw, I'm going elsewhere.

Wesley L. Scott, Ed.D., Ph.D.

the document in question actually contains relevant information and/or is
accurate in the way it presents the information it presents or in the claims
it makes,
