[B-Greek] kappa vs. chi

Hello:

I am a beginning student of Koine Greek. I am currently reading Leon
Morris' commentary on the Gospel of John (from the New International
Commentary series), and I am confused by several words that he spells with
an initial chi instead of an initial kappa. For example, he spells KOSMOS
as COSMOS when discussing John 1:10 (pp 111-113.) He spells KAGO as CAGO
when dicussing John 1:31 (p 130, footnote 62.)

He seems quite consistent. Is there an easy explanation for this?
Surely a typesetting problem or some consistent error in keyboard
conventions would not have been missed by his editor?

   Thank you,

Tim Crews
