Yes, I've noticed it's keyed to his own Grammar...if you mean his book
"Biblical Greek". That's the book I find difficult to understand.
Sometimes I feel like it takes too long to figure out what he means there
and how to apply it..perhaps because I'm not that sharp with grammatical
terms and have to think about almost every single one...and he uses them in
bunches. I have the sense though that if I stick with this approach that in
a year or so I'll be much more comfortable with Zerwick because it's the
same stuff over and over with slight variations here and there. Anyhow,
thanks for the input...it's reassuring.

That's pretty much what I do with it. You have noticed that it is keyed to
his own grammar, which I find very helpful, so I usually go to his grammar
first.
It also explains less common words and parses the verbs that are harder to
recognize, of course, but I'm sure you have noticed that. For me, it's a
useful crutch that lets me read things that are a bit beyond me without
imposing a lot of commentary, so it's an ideal companion when I'm just
reading the text.
