I have a question regarding the critical apparatus in Nestle's Novum
Testamentum Graece (21st edition, 1952) and the apparatus in the
Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th edition.
To clarify where I am coming from on this, I have the N-A 21st (as well
as UBS3 & UBS4) in hard copy, and N-A 27th in a software program, sans
critical apparatus. In short, I am wondering if there is enough
difference between the critical apparatus in the 21st and 27th editions
of the Novum Testamentum Graece to warrant purchasing N-A 27 in hard
copy.
Is there a significant change between editions in the number of variant
readings covered? More? Less?
Has the makeup of the notes in the apparatus changed between the two
editions? In other words, are the notes still characterized by the same
succinct treatment given 52 years ago? Does the current edition employ
the same symbols in its apparatus?
Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.
