I've been out of town, so hadn't seen this post as it developed earlier
today. I won't re-enter the debate regarding the grammaticalization of time
in Greek. There's plenty in the foyer. For those who think my notes should
add this or that, please realize that this is only one chapter--an intro to
verbs. The other issues are dealt with, chapter by chapter, as we move
through verbs--but I haven't posted that material. I'm sure that many here
realize that this is a disputed subject, and despite protestations that mine
is a bizarre, tiny majority view, I'd venture that there may be more who
consider it an adequate explanation than some think.

On another topic, my trip out of town was to take a class to the Trexler
Library at Muhlenberg College in Allentown to see P21, a 5th C. papyrus MS
containing text from Matthew's gospel. I've posted some pictures, etc. from
a previous trip, and have now updated that page with much better quality
photos from today's visit. I may post some additional close ups tomorrow.
