DIAKOUSOMAI SOU, EFH, hOTAN KAI hOI KATHGOROI SOU
PARAGENWNTAI KELEUSAS EN TWi PRAITWRIWi TOU hHRWiDOU
FULASSESQAI AUTON.
Culy/Parsons note that SOU is the genitive object, and
translates it, "I will hear your case..." Can
DIAKOUSOMAI SOU also be understood as "I will hear
from you (later)" ? (Genitive of source??)
Also, Culy/Parsons note with reference to KELEUSAS
(attendent circumstance of EFH) "there is no reason
why the aorist participle cannot refer to an action
that occurred subsequent to the main verb." I seem to
recall a study in which it was observed that aorist
participles that are subsequent to main verbs (even
presents??) generally are placed AFTER the main verb.
Is this the generally used syntactical position in
Greek to denote a subsequent action with an aorist participle?
