DIA TOUTO DEI PERISSOTERWS hHMAS PROSECEIN TOIS
AKOUSQEISI MH POTE PARARRUWMEN

Some translate AKOUSQEISI as "the things we have been
TAUGHT"

What is the justification of this? I am trying to
understand if it is legitimate to TRANSLATE it this
way; since it seems true that the things they HEARD
were the things they were TAUGHT, but the author here
doesn't used DIDASKW. Is there a grammatical principle
that allows this nuance or sense?
