Mitch, I have a feeling that you're looking for something that doesn't
exist. There are two or three standard "intermediate" Greek grammars (for
NT Koine) such as Wallace, Brooks and Winbery, etc.; but none of these will
provide you with fully satisfactory solutions to each every question of
syntax that arises during your endeavors to read and exegete more complex
Biblical Greek texts: you'll still have to read carefully and sift through
the text and approaches to the constructions; you'd probably do best to
acquire more than one advanced grammar, and ultimately you may find that
you need to have Smyth's grammar as well, even if that is fundamentally a
grammar of Attic Greek. At best these grammars are TOOLS that you use to
develop your own more solid grasp of how the language works in practice
within the minds of the ancient writers.
