[B-Greek] "Historic Biblical Pronunciation" vs. Modern?

Based on a link in a previous article, I just took a look at:

	http://www.biblicalgreek.org/links/biblical.html

where they detail the "Historic Biblical Pronunciation." Can anyone
comment on any perceived advantages of studying this pronunciation over
modern pronunciation? Or is it mostly of academic interest? The two
are very similar in almost every case.

Thanks,

Patrick
