I worked my way cover to cover through Wallace right after Mounce, and 
you are right in your estimation that it is a valuable education. 
Having done this has also helped me to recognize some unfair criticisms 
of his approach. Not that there aren't some valid criticisms to 
consider, but I find that many have either not read his whole work and 
therefore are not acquainted with the many clarifications and caveats 
therein, or just ignore these clarifications and caveats.
